NOTE: Roslindale Porch Fest is a family friendly, alcohol-free event.

1. Porch selection:  Will my porch automatically be accepted for inclusion?

The organizers will review all porch submissions for suitability and safety

2. Band selection:  Will my act automatically be accepted for inclusion?

The organizers will review all performer submissions for suitability and volume level concerns

3. Performance times: What time will acts be performing?

The basic performance time slots are 1:30-2:30, 3:00-4:00, 4:30-5:30. The half hour interludes are designed for changeovers, but if needs are minimal performers can continue into the half hour with agreement of following act. Acts should not start before 1:30, 3:00, or 4:30 in order to align with the printed schedule. 

If there is only one act scheduled on a porch, the act is welcome to play multiple time slots. However; the performers should let the organizers know so that we can provide accurate information on the printed program.

4. Performance setup: Who provides PA equipment for the porch?

Each performer is responsible for providing amplification and PA equipment. If multiple acts are performing on one porch we urge the acts to coordinate with each other to share equipment, if possible.  

5. Matching performers to porches: Can I decide who plays on my porch?

Porches can indicate preference for specific performers.

6. Can I choose the porch on which I will perform?

It will be up to the organizers and the porches to determine where acts perform but preferences will be considered.

7. Bands:  Can I sell my CDs (band T-shirts, etc.) at my performance?

Yes, of course.

8. Porches: Who is in charge of each porch?

Each porch will have a designated Porch Rep who will be responsible for communicating with neighbors before the event, be at the porch throughout the afternoon performances to monitor volume level, traffic concerns, etc.

We strongly encourage each Porch Rep to inform their neighbors of their participation in Porch Fest well in advance of Sept. 17 and discuss any concerns with them.

9. Who do I contact if I have questions regarding porches, bands, volunteering, donations, and sponsorships?

10. How do I determine how many performers can my porch, yard, etc. accommodate?

For example a three-piece band with drummer would need approximately 5' x 10'.
